Mount Doug In Memoriam

Mr. Randal Cloak
"See You on the Flip Side"
On the evening of May 11, 1999, Mr. Randal Cloak suffered a major heart attack. Twelve days later on May 23rd, Mr. Cloak passed away peacefully at 5:25pm. He was 49.

The links to the left will take you to pages where you can read the obituary that appeared in newspapers, audio clips from a memorial service at the Mt. Doug gym, a small photo gallery (the gallery will pop up a new window), and a page where you can share your memories of Mr. Cloak.

On May 28th 1999, students, staff, friends, and school alumni gathered in the gym to say goodbye to Mr. Cloak. A video of the memorial was shot and given to Mrs. Cloak. This page contains audio from some of the emotional speeches and songs by students and staff. I was unfortunately unable to archive the entire service. In Mr. Cloak's honour, an award was named after him. His passion for the theatre will live on through the school musicals and his legacy shall remain in our hearts.
